Privacy Policy

This Streams Free (“the app”) lets you look up where a movie or TV show is available to stream and see whether it is free to you based on the paid services you tell it you own. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: the app does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you.

Information we do not collect

The app has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for, collect, or store:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
• Your location
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Contacts, photos, files, messages, or calendar data
• Any analytics, usage tracking, or advertising data

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no crash- or usage-reporting software.

Information that stays on your device

When you tell the app which streaming services you subscribe to (“My Subscriptions”), that selection is saved only on your device using local storage. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is removed if you uninstall the app.

Search requests

When you search for a title, the app sends the text you type to our own proxy server (hosted on Cloudflare) solely to fetch matching results from our data provider and return them to you. Your searches are not linked to you, not tied to any account or identifier, and are not stored as a record of your activity. Our server temporarily caches the catalog results for a given title so the app is faster for everyone; this cache holds public movie and TV availability data, not information about who searched.

As with any internet service, the hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical connection data such as IP addresses to deliver the response and protect the service against abuse. We do not use this data to identify you and do not build any profile from it.

Third-party services

The app relies on the following services to function:

• Cloudflare — hosts the proxy server that handles search requests.
• Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night — provides the streaming availability data shown in the app.

When you tap a result to open a title, the app hands off to the relevant streaming app or website (for example Netflix, Hulu, or Tubi). Those services have their own privacy policies, which govern your use of them.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it complies with children’s privacy requirements by design.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
